Dec. 13 & 14, Lisa Roberston symposium at Université Paris Est Créteil

On Thursday 13 and Friday 14 December, we will be hosting a 2 day symposium on Lisa Robertson’s work at Université Paris Est Créteil, salle 117, Maison des Langues. How to get there? See here.

We will be meeting in the morning of December 13th at 10 am to prepare our sessions with Lisa Robertson. Lisa Robertson will be joining us at 2 pm on the 13^th. She will also be with us all day on the 14^th.

So far, we’ve tried to focus on the writer’s own (creative and critical) work on the first day of the P&C symposia and on broader issues of poetics and practice-based criticism with the writer on the second day. But there’s no specific preconceived program for the 2 days of the symposium: as the previous sessions of the program have shown, it seems important to let the conversation take its own course.

How to Get There: Maison des Langues, Université Paris Est Créteil

From Paris, to get to the Université Paris-Est Créteil, take the Créteil bound métro 8 line. Map of the line here. A regular subway ticket will get you there.
Please get off at the Créteil - Université subway stop. Go down the stairs, go through the exit doors. You will then be facing two exits. Please make a right (where the man is on the picture). You want the sortie "Université Paris 12 / Mail des mèches".

Once you exit the subway station, walk "straight" for a few minutes: the Maison des Langues (see pic. below) of the Université Paris-Est Créteil will be on  your left. Room 117 is on the first floor (down the hall on the pic. below).

Turn left towards the Mail des Mèches

How to Get There: Université Paris-Est Créteil

From Paris, to get to the Université Paris-Est Créteil, take the Créteil bound métro 8 line. Map of the line here.
Please get off at the Créteil - Université subway stop. Go down the stairs, go through the exit doors. You will then be facing two exits. Please make a right (where the man is on the picture). You want the sortie "Université Paris 12 / Mail des mèches".

Once you have exited the subway station, walk "straight": you will find yourself on a slightly winding "promenade" which will lead you to the main building of the Université Paris-Est Créteil.





Once you reach the embranchment, do not follow the direction "Palais des sports". Keep going straight and up on the little footbridge leading to the University's main bldg.

Once you have reached the main building, you will find yourself on an esplanade. Go to the very end and walk underneath the porch (on the right on the picture). You will then be facing the Bibliothèque universitaire. Walk past it (on your right), the "salle des thèses" is at the far right corner on the picture below. When you enter the building the "salle des thèses" will be right in front of you.
